DIY All Natural Body Butter Salve for Dry Winter Skin

DIY All Natural Body Butter Salve for Dry Winter Skin

If you’ve reached this post then you know that most beauty products on the market aren’t good for the biggest and one of the most important organ; the skin. It’s the first thing that people notice about you. I’m not gonna lie. My skin texture leaves little to be desired. I have freckles which are caused from the sun so that means I have sun damaged skin. I was tired of using products with parabens, propylene glycol, paraffin, sodium lauryl sulfate, you know, the bad chemicals that absorb into your skin and cause all kind of issues like dry skin, hair loss, inhibit skin cell growth and cause possible cancer. Anything that I can do to avoid these conditions is a must in my book!

I am a little late getting this DIY all-natural body butter salve recipe for dry winter skin up, but now’s just as perfect time as any since it’s still winter and most of us are still dealing with dreaded dry skin.

A Microwave, an Air Fryer and a Convection Oven all-in-one, Oh My!

A Microwave, an Air Fryer and a Convection Oven all-in-one, Oh My!

I’ve been compensated in the form of a best buy gift card, however, all thoughts are my own.

When you’re a parent, you want easy and convenient ways to make meals even if that means spending a little to get it. I have been ordering grocery delivery service for a while now and although I dislike paying the service/delivery fee, it helps me keep my sanity by avoiding the store with my small kids. To me it’s well worth it, kind of like this new Breville Combi Wave 3-in-1 combination Microwave that Air Fries and is a convection oven.

Amazing Essential Oil Roller Blend for The Winter Moody Blues

Amazing Essential Oil Roller Blend for The Winter Moody Blues

Winter blues is no joke. Most people develop mood disorders in late fall and winter months, which often leads to depression.

I’ve just started taking an interest in essential oils last year and I’m finally getting around to buying and using some in more recipes because I like a more holistic approach when it comes to health and well-being.

Because of the lack of sunlight (hello daylight “pointless” saving time..), the end of the year stress from Etsy, and my cat dying, I decided I should make an essential oil rollerball blend to get me out of my moody blues funk.

How to make an amazing & uplifting essential oil rollerball blend for the winter moody blues

Do you know what would make cleaning more fun? A maid!

I absolutely loathe cleaning, but I also like a clean environment that we all know is impossible with kids unless you’re always right behind them with a vacuum and some handy dandy scrubbing wipes. But, there’s also something about Fall and Spring that gets me in the mood to clean and declutter our lives so that we’re dealing with a little less stress and living in a cleaner environment. Maybe it’s the changing weather and I’m not sweating just from getting up off the couch since the crisp, cold air has finally arrived.

The Best Pumpkin Patches in Portland, OR (and surrounding areas)

The Best Pumpkin Patches in Portland, OR (and surrounding areas)

It’s almost that time of year AGAIN. I know I say this all of the time, but where does the time go? UGH! I wished it would slow down a little bit.

My daughter and I have already begun our pumpkin season by starting off with a pumpkin pie blizzard from Dairy Queen; yum!  We love this time of year since there’s such fun activities to do and plenty of places to visit local to us. We had planned this year to grab pumpkins from the pumpkin patch to decorate into the light fury from How to Train Your Dragon 3 and we ended up doing just that! It was hard picking one place to visit, but we decided on Sauvie’s Island in Portland, OR since I hadn’t been since I was like in my late teens I think. The place is pretty busy on the weekends so I recommend going on a weekday because we sat in a 15-20 min line less than a mile from the farm just to get in the parking lot. Then it was the same as we left. It was kind of crazy! The kids had fun with the animals and stuff so it was worth it.
