So when they’ve ran out of money, or don’t check their bank account for late withdrawals, or need something that they can’t get at the moment, who do they come to?
You guessed it, ME.
Early on my mother pretty much learned that she couldn’t swindle me into lending her money too often because I got pissed off that people who had a job would just blow their money on everything but their bills and then would come to me, the person who makes a few bucks here and there from the internet world and try to take my savings too. I put my foot down, because I knew it would just turn into a chaotic mess from there on out and cause more of a damper in our relationship as mother and daughter.
My grandma has lent her money for years and in fact keeps a black book track record of all their transactions with each other. She owes her a couple grand again apparently, and does my mom really have any intentions of paying her back? Probably not, otherwise she wouldn’t keep borrowing money. My grandma is the stupid one though, because she continues to give. She just doesn’t want my mother to suffer or be angry at her because she didn’t help her. But she’ll continue to bitch that she owes her so much money though.
My mom seemed to have passed down the “stupid with money” gene to at least 2 of my siblings so far. Who knows about the youngest one since she’s only 17 right now. But I imagine one day she will be coming to me asking for cash too; she already asks me to buy her makeup, clothes, etc.
I don’t mind doing it every once in a while when I know it’s for something that they need, but I hate when they make a habit out of it. In fact, I usually only hear from one other sibling when she wants to borrow money. She hasn’t done it lately because I kept telling her no after I learned that she had no intentions of returning what she owed. The other sister does pay me back. I know she’s good for that.
I’m pretty sure she’ll read this and get pissed off that I posted about it. haha
Well… like cartman says, “It’s my
hot body blog, I can do what I want!”
