Find Health Coverage for Your Way of Living During Open Enrollment with Washington Healthplanfinder

Find Health Coverage for Your Way of Living During Open Enrollment with Washington Healthplanfinder

I’ve partnered with the Washington Healthplanfinder to share information about open enrollment (Nov 1st-December 15th). As always, all opinions are my own.

For the last 2 years, we’ve collaborated with Washington Healthplanfinder, where I shared personal stories and talked about affordable health care after my husband lost his job (below), and where my husband’s previous employer didn’t offer spousal insurance.

We all know 2020/2021 has been a wild ride, to say the least, which could be an understatement for most people. My husband ended up losing his job around March 2020, which meant we lost all of our insurance plans for all 4 of us. We panicked about not being able to afford bills because unemployment was a nightmare to get started, but, thankfully there were resources available to keep us afloat in this time of need.

Since we had a great experience with Washington Healthplanfinder before, we knew they would be the best option for us to sign up for health insurance in the meantime so we would have the financial safeguard if any type of emergency were to suddenly pop up. We didn’t want the possibility of a costly medical bill without health coverage to put us into debt and add more stress to the already stressful 2 years.

With 2 small children, our dream is to be healthy, and we can’t do that without staying active, getting vitamin D outside, eating healthy, taking our minerals and vitamins, and having health coverage to keep ailments at bay

Gladskin Eczema Cream to Help with Flare Ups

Gladskin Eczema Cream to Help with Flare Ups

I think I’ve talked a couple of times about my itchy skin issues on Instagram, but it’s not something I really dive deep into here on my blog. I only have a mild case of eczema, but it’s enough of an issue to drive me crazy at times, which leaves me feeling helpless because I have no idea how to manage it. Mild, to me, is the occasional flare-ups in a few different areas on the body that are small in size. I get eczema patches on my elbows, knees, left ring finger, and the back of my head, which itched so bad one time that it caused me to lose hair in that spot.

Eczema is an auto-immune disorder. I know my triggers are sugar, alcohol, and processed foods. I have even a tiny amount and I am itching, and in the winter it’s even worse. So I recommend avoiding those if you’re struggling with the same issue just to keep it under control.

Things You Can Do to Boost Your Immune System Before and After a Pandemic

Since we’re all being affected by this pandemic scare that has some of us panicking, I figured I would share some tips to help keep your immune system up. This is NOT medical advice and I don’t claim to be a doctor. This is healthy living advice.

There has been so much conflicting information, but one thing I have gathered about this new strain of Coronavirus is that it can’t survive over 60 degrees heat. So enjoy the sun and warm beverages like tea and honey.

My Final Thoughts on Always Eat After 7 pm

My Final Thoughts on Always Eat After 7 pm

I’ve been following a new way of eating for the last month and now I am going to share my results with you. This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed above are my own.

The Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks – While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is one of the easiest and well thought out way of eating that I have followed. I will say, there are days where it’s impossible to eat healthily when out and about or when you go camping, but if you put a bunch of thought into it and pre-plan it could work even then too!

There are so many things I have learned from this book that I will use forever. I really dig the 3 different phases. The acceleration plan was a little hard to get used to since I am used to eating breakfast. Basically, you need to do intermittent fasting. One of Joel’s tips in the morning is to drink lemon water – half of the lemon with water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function. A simple 3-minute fat-burning morning ritual is key! I love lemon water, so this was easy for me to enjoy.

The recipes are also tasty and super easy to make and if you eat specific higher-carbohydrate foods, they will support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.

I started the plan late, so I am not at my goal of what I want to achieve but I know I can do it as long as I stick to it. SO far, I have lost 5lbs and I am okay with that because it has also improved my mind, my attitude, and my mood.

On the off chance that you haven’t been following along with me, look at week 1, week 2, and week 3‘s presents thoughts on the book and how I am utilizing it to better my life.
