Beach Camping with Kids at Cape Disappointment State Park

Beach Camping with Kids at Cape Disappointment State Park

We had seen our friends previously post about beach camping on Facebook and decided to look into it a couple of years ago. But with these types of places, they only list their availability at certain times at the beginning of the year and then they immediately get booked up. We were lucky enough to snag a site at Cape Disappointment in January before the chaos ensued and thankfully our reservations didn’t get canceled.

What Does “Home” Mean to Me?

What Does “Home” Mean to Me?

When my husband was looking to buy a house 12 years ago, I just couldn’t really visualize what he was seeing with our current home. That is until we put our personal touch on it with paint and decor. But I realize now that we have a family, a home is more than just cosmetics.

Grilled Margarita Chicken Recipe

Grilled Tequila Lime Chicken

This post is sponsored by Foster Farms Chicken but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I love summertime because that means more outdoor grilling on hot summer days, which mainly involves my husband’s doing while I sit back and enjoy a cold beverage. But, I do occasionally come up with tasty meals and grill them up myself when I am feeling adventurous.

Now, I know there are some people that prefer certain types of grills. We’ve owned numerous types, but my favorite will always be a toss between wood-pellet and charcoal. There’s just something about the charcoal and smokey wood pellet flavors that deliciously seep into the meat.

But for this recipe, I used my mom’s gas grill since we were all hungry and I wanted the Foster Farms Simply Raised chicken to cook quickly.

My Final Thoughts on Always Eat After 7 pm

My Final Thoughts on Always Eat After 7 pm

I’ve been following a new way of eating for the last month and now I am going to share my results with you. This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed above are my own.

The Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks – While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is one of the easiest and well thought out way of eating that I have followed. I will say, there are days where it’s impossible to eat healthily when out and about or when you go camping, but if you put a bunch of thought into it and pre-plan it could work even then too!

There are so many things I have learned from this book that I will use forever. I really dig the 3 different phases. The acceleration plan was a little hard to get used to since I am used to eating breakfast. Basically, you need to do intermittent fasting. One of Joel’s tips in the morning is to drink lemon water – half of the lemon with water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function. A simple 3-minute fat-burning morning ritual is key! I love lemon water, so this was easy for me to enjoy.

The recipes are also tasty and super easy to make and if you eat specific higher-carbohydrate foods, they will support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.

I started the plan late, so I am not at my goal of what I want to achieve but I know I can do it as long as I stick to it. SO far, I have lost 5lbs and I am okay with that because it has also improved my mind, my attitude, and my mood.

On the off chance that you haven’t been following along with me, look at week 1, week 2, and week 3‘s presents thoughts on the book and how I am utilizing it to better my life.
