If you’ve been quarantined inside the house for the last month, the least of your worries are probably celebrating Mother’s Day. But if perchance you want to celebrate while in lockdown, here are some items that would surely put a smile on any mother’s face during these stressful times. I know my mom would appreciate most of these since she lives alone nowadays.
Is there really a life after kids? Not really! Lol
I commend those that somehow find the time or the babysitter to take care of the kiddos, but over here, date nights are so rare with my husband that I feel like we’re back at square one and don’t even know how to have adult conversations anymore. They all consist of the girls or things our girls like. It’s almost awkward, so if anyone has any advice, I am all ears! ?

The family is super excited to be able to check out Monster Jam this year in Portland at the Moda Center on Feb 29th! I’ve always had a love for monster trucks ever since I was a little girl, but I have never been to a big arena, just the local county fair. It was underwhelming at times but still fun, so I’m thrilled to see it in a bigger arena where they’re able to really maneuver!

Fleas are one of those nuisance bugs (like mosquitos) that you can’t believe actually exists. And if you have a pet, you know all too well how annoying they can be.
Now I don’t claim to be a doctor or a health specialist, but I do know from experience that flea collars and flea medications are full of chemicals and poison, so much so that your pet can have an adverse reaction like with any medication on the market. My sister’s dog for instance foamed at the mouth once flea medicine was put on his neck. My cat from many years ago had the same reaction so I knew these were not mere coincidences. This prompted me to search for safer alternatives for both mine and my sister’s animals.
Don’t get me wrong, I am no pro nor am I stating I know it all.
I had a difficult time being a first-time mom venturing into the breastfeeding world in the beginning. I thought it would be easy, but it is/was the hardest thing I have done, AND yes, that includes giving birth.
I had a really bad couple of days at first, so much so that I would break down into tears from the sheer terror of trying to get my baby to latch on correctly while I cringed in pain. I wished I had done more research since no one around me breastfed effectively before I had given birth, but as I said before, I thought it was going to be a piece of cake.
