Gladskin Eczema Cream to Help with Flare Ups

Gladskin Eczema Cream to Help with Flare Ups

I think I’ve talked a couple of times about my itchy skin issues on Instagram, but it’s not something I really dive deep into here on my blog. I only have a mild case of eczema, but it’s enough of an issue to drive me crazy at times, which leaves me feeling helpless because I have no idea how to manage it. Mild, to me, is the occasional flare-ups in a few different areas on the body that are small in size. I get eczema patches on my elbows, knees, left ring finger, and the back of my head, which itched so bad one time that it caused me to lose hair in that spot.

Eczema is an auto-immune disorder. I know my triggers are sugar, alcohol, and processed foods. I have even a tiny amount and I am itching, and in the winter it’s even worse. So I recommend avoiding those if you’re struggling with the same issue just to keep it under control.

Tasty Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto

A little unknown fact about me, I am not big on pasta. I know, I know. Pasta is a huge staple in many homes. I do eat it occasionally but not a whole lot. That’s why I was excited to try out the new Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto sauce since it can be used on just about anything and not just pasta dishes.

I have trouble coming up with new and exciting things to eat for breakfast outside of the normal hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon/sausage. I decided to try a little bit of Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto sauce on top of some toast with a sunny-side-up egg and avocado. It was so good!

Yes, There is a Healthy Difference in Cooking Oils

Yes, There is a Healthy Difference in Cooking Oils

I can’t tell you how unskilled I was in the cooking department when I first met my husband. Recipes weren’t my thing if they weren’t from a box which obviously wasn’t the greatest thing to prepare and eat. And don’t even get me started on oils, which ones are good and which ones are bad. I know now that canola oil should be avoided at all costs because it’s synthetically made, and here I’d go for that one over vegetable oil because I knew corn was genetically modified. Now that I’ve done my own research and can cook something outside of the box, one of my go-to oils is extra virgin olive oil.

Olive oil is such a lovely addition to any meal but what I did not know much was the process that olives go through in order to offer a supreme product. Flavor for Life introduced me to Le Stagioni d’ Italia 100%  Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

In today’s modern world, devices are pretty much in every home whether we like to admit it or not. I just wished I would have thought about the repercussions instead of being in the “moment” of getting our girls’ a tablet early on. My 6-year-old is pretty addicted and I needed something to help lessen the amount of time she spends on her tablet. Ever since she discovered Minecraft this past year, she hasn’t wanted to really play with toys. That to me is a big problem because being imaginative with toys and outside play should be the main activity of her day at this age. I blame myself though since I needed something to distract her while I took care of her younger sister. Parenting is hard. But I am taking control of all of our internet activity with Circle Home Plus.

Big Family Vacation at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village

Big Family Vacation at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village

This year had been a little chaotic for everyone so we decided to take an end-of-the-year vacation with my immediate family. We were at first thinking we should just rent a big beach house, but the beach this time of the year in the PNW isn’t the most pleasant, so I suggested maybe going to the mountain so we could at least have some fun in the snow if we’re going to be “cold” anyways.

So I searched and actually stumbled upon Mt. Hood Tiny Village through Instagram and knew this is just the place that we all needed to stay at. We each booked our own tiny home, that way we could have our own space yet still visit in the center at the fire pit or in each other’s “tiny homes”.

These places were so cute and I knew I needed to claim the Ingrid before my family since it was spacious! When I research things, I do it fully and hard, so my family was mad that I selected that one, but hey, they did let me take charge. LOL
