I’m Crafty, Sort of… Go Check Out My Etsy Shop!

I’m reblogging this over here from my more personal blog since crafting is a fun little side gig of mine that I thoroughly enjoy. Read it over, give us a follow if you wish and leave us some comments if you’d like to see anything added or if you have an idea in mind. After all, we’re good at making it cute!

So whenever I have a little free time, I have been using it to put together these paper mobiles with a friend of mine who’s also “Jenn”. I originally started one for my sisters baby shower since I thought it was creative and cute. The first one took forever since we were just starting out, but now that we got another method down it doesn’t take too long once we get into rhythm and keep baby occupied at the same time (thank god for gigglebellies on youtube)

We don’t just make paper mobiles though, we do button animals/shapes/letters on canvas, banners for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, kids rooms/nurseries, paper cupcake toppers, typography on photo paper and more. If we can think of it, we’ll probably do it.

I have so many DIY crafty designs running through my head, but don’t want to get too ahead of myself here until we start making some sells since there’s no point in having all of these items sit around with no one to buy them.

Which is why I am posting and sharing here; we need to get our name out there, if you’d like, please go give us a favorite on Etsy, we’d really appreciate it.

Baby update, it’s been 3 months already!

Wow, where has the time gone? I never expected to be updating this blog as frequently as I had been updating it since having my little one but now I feel like I have no time to myself at all when I’m the one who stays home with her.

So, since she just woke up from her 15 min catnap, I’ll make this quick.

Things are going better with breastfeeding, thank god. I’ll be doing a post on that in the near future if my husband can watch her long enough without coming to me saying she’s hungry cause she’s fussy. 😉

She’s now 3 months old and so BIG. She’s as tall as her cousins who are 4 and 2 months older than her. It’s kind of scary. I get asked how old she is all the time and they assume 5 or 6 months, and I’m like nope, she’s only 3, but this was when she was 2 months. lol

She’s happy and healthy and I love her to pieces, even if she doesn’t let me do anything besides take care of her all day. 😉

My Experience

Normally I am not one to just jump on the bandwagon of new beauty products. I like to actually read over the ingredients first to know what exactly I’m putting on my skin. This eye eraser Duo caught my eye because it contains Organic aloe, olive oil, blue-green algae, jojoba oil and primrose oil and not harmful parabens, fillers, dyes. I used this product for around 30 days since I am starting to see fine lines on my forehead, around the eyes and have puffiness underneath my eyes as well which I attribute to genetics. Although it hasn’t been 8 weeks, I have noticed a slight difference in reduction of wrinkles and puffiness, but I am also a new mom so I am a little sleep deprived as well.

The cream was thin and had a lotion-like smell but nothing purfume-y which I liked. It absorbed into my skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated, which is perfect for my dry skin.

The vibration and the warmth of the eye eraser duo was relaxing, but in order for it to turn on, you’ll need to apply it to your skin. And to turn off, remove from skin. It’s as simple as that! It takes a little bit for it to warm up too, so take it into consideration.11720643_10153374193765365_338129716_n

Overall I am hooked on the eye eraser duo with it’s spa like feel and soothing, yet perfect ingredients for improving the overall health and look of my skin. I will continue to use this and hope I see more improvements as the weeks go by.

Cricut Machines – A Must Have For Any Crafter

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

If you read last week’s post, you now know why Cricut’s Explore One™ and Explore Air™ machines are so incredible – and a must-have for any crafter.

But what bridges the gap between the creative ideas in your head and the Cricut machine is the Cricut Design Space™.

Cricut’s Design Space™ is software for PC, Mac®, iPhone® and iPad® that you get for free with your Cricut machine of choice.

Instead of trying to figure out how to make your project, Design Space gives you the ability to focus on what you want to make. Your Cricut machine takes it from there and brings it to life.

With Design Space, you can start designing from scratch on your computer, iPhone® or iPad®, or you can use a pre-designed, Make It Now™ project. These ready-to-make projects are created by professional artists and include everything from home décor to fashion to paper crafting, and even a variety of FREE projects.

If you want to use one of Cricut’s 50K+ images, you can try them out in the Design Space to see which will look best in your project before you commit to purchasing it.

Uploading Images

When you’re ready to start designing, you can either use one of Cricut’s 50K+ images or easily upload your own using the “Upload Images” tool in Design Space. You can upload and cut .svg, .jpg, .png, .bmp, .gif, and .dxf files absolutely FREE. You can even use fonts already installed on your computer.

Cut What You Want® tool

The Design Space’s Cut What You Want® tool makes it easy to convert your design into a cuttable image in just a few clicks!

The Cricut Design Space™ app for iPad® and iPhone®

Cricut’s easy-to-use app for the iPad® and iPhone® makes it possible for you can design anytime and anywhere inspiration strikes you.

It also allows you to access all the project’s that you’ve personally designed, whether on your iOs device or your PC or Mac, and gives you access to all the Make-it-Now projects.

With this app, you can start a project while at the beach, enhance it at the ice-cream shop, add some embellishments while cozying up on your couch, and then cut it on the Cricut Explore in your craft room. Plus, it’s cloud-based, so your projects are always synced across all your devices.

P.S. Cricut is working on an Android™ app right now, so don’t feel left out if you don’t have an iPad or iPhone.

In a nutshell, Cricut Design Space™ gives you the creative freedom to design just about anything! Make party invitations, decorations, and favors. Create seasonal home décor or personalize wedding gifts. Add embellishments to your favorite photo memories.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! That’s why next week’s post (the last on in this series) will focus on some really fun and interesting projects that people have created using their Cricut machine and the Cricut Design Space.

Stay tuned!
