In today’s modern world, devices are pretty much in every home whether we like to admit it or not. I just wished I would have thought about the repercussions instead of being in the “moment” of getting our girls’ a tablet early on. My 6-year-old is pretty addicted and I needed something to help lessen the amount of time she spends on her tablet. Ever since she discovered Minecraft this past year, she hasn’t wanted to really play with toys. That to me is a big problem because being imaginative with toys and outside play should be the main activity of her day at this age. I blame myself though since I needed something to distract her while I took care of her younger sister. Parenting is hard. But I am taking control of all of our internet activity with Circle Home Plus.

Fotor: The Best Free Online Photo Editor & Collage Maker

Fotor: The Best Free Online Photo Editor & Collage Maker

When I am on the go with a toddler, I usually don’t have time to whip out my DSLR camera to catch those precious moments, so I end up using my handy dandy smart phone. But of course, the picture quality isn’t always the best on a smart phone, that’s why I use the online photo editing site Fotor to help bring a little magic to my occasional drab photos.

Fotor is a free online photo editing app that makes editing photos a breeze with its intuitive and easy interface without the need to register. I love that because time is everything and I don’t have the time or patience to sign up and create an account on a million different websites that I may or may not find useful or interesting. But, I have been using Fotor for well over a year and it is my go to app for photo editing.  Trust me, I HAVE tried others and they simply don’t compare. Some of them are either too complicated or don’t have the enhancing features I like that Fotor DOES.

I showed my sister a photo I took with my smartphone 4 months ago of her daughter and she was amazed at the picture quality. Little did she know, it was with the help of Fotor. The options are limitless when it comes to editing photos with Fotor. For instance, take a look at this photo I took yesterday of my daughters’ room using my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ phone.

Doesn’t look so great, right?

Now take a look at the after.

What a huge difference. This my friends is why I love Fotor.

All I did was use the fine tune feature on their website, moved shadow all the way to the right, clicked highlight and moved it to where it looked decent and then messed with the curves.

It’s as simple and as easy as that.

You can also create holiday greeting cards, a cool youtube banner and even cover photos for Facebook.

I hope you end up loving Fotor as much as I do.

Looking for FREE learning apps for your kiddos? Then you’ve come to the right place. Kids Academy is pretty much the only app that’s needed since it has writing, math, reading and more all rolled into one!

Kids Academy – the team behind some of the top educational apps for kids with over 10 million downloads worldwide just released the long-awaited version of their flagship app – Preschool Education Center.

As the name suggests, Preschool Education Center is an all-in-one educational app for kids and toddlers. The app covers all aspects of early childhood education from the alphabet and reading to writing, building vocabulary and developing math skills. Based on the proven Montessori method the app offers a number of fun games that help master essential learning skills through play.

I downloaded the app and noticed that there are a few things to do for FREE in each category, but in order to enjoy the app to it’s full potential, you need to pay the $9.99 to unlock everything. The app is bright and colorful and the new design is more user friendly; love this update. My 4 year old niece loves the writing area where you trace over letters and numbers with the bugs that’s kind of like connecting the dots. The library is also perfect at bed time when she wants a new story besides the ones on her book shelf; like Cinderella, she absolutely enjoys that one and it’s FREE!

Until now, Preschool Education Center has only been available on iTunes but today’s release makes it finally available for Android device on Google Play! This fun and free app is currently being featured in the Family section of the Android store in the USA, Australia and Canada.

Kids Academy | Educational Apps for Children

It’s hard finding a good educational app that is both educational and attention grabbing. Kids need things to be fun and appealing to the eye in order for it to be entertaining. That’s why I love Kids Academy apps, because they’re vibrant in color, have 3D graphics and they make learning fun!

Educational Books & Free Songs

Update: It’s never too early to give your kiddos a head start on math. It’s one of the most hated subjects, with this Kids Academy app, they’ll love it because it’s fun!

I think this app game would better be suited on a tablet since its hard for little fingers to see the screen to trace on a small smartphone. Ideally best for 3-5 year olds as anyone younger won’t grasp the concept of what to do without getting totally bored and wanting to move on. loved the graphics and all the fun things to do in the game and so did my 3 and 5 year old nieces!

Face Paint for Toddlers

FREE for a limited time! (usually $2.99)

Great fun and a good way to get your young one to learn how to draw and recognize shapes well before they head to preschool or kindergarten. Love all of the vibrant colors and especially the robots face paint. Gives the little ones something extra fun to do after they get bored with the educational aspect of the app.

5 Money Saving Apps You Should Be Using!

5 Money Saving Apps You Should Be Using!

Even if you’re not the coupon clipping type, there are other methods of saving money by using handy dandy money saving apps, but just know that if you stack both coupons and these money saving apps your savings will be even greater! The ones I’ve listed are not the only ones around, but they’re the ones that I find useful and resourceful enough to list here today. I may end up doing a 2nd edition of this if there are other apps that not only contain quality but quantity ways to help you and I save.

5 money saving apps you should be using

Ibotta Cash Back App

ibotta
Ibotta allows you to earn cash each time you shop. Here’s how:

Before shopping, choose your offers by completing tasks in the Ibotta Product Gallery. Choose your earning level for each product offer by completing as many tasks as you like such as reading a fact, answering a trivia question, watching a video, etc. Once you complete at least one task per product offer, the product offer is automatically added to your shopping list on the Ibotta app so you can earn money for purchasing the item. This one is my absolute favorite since it has so many different offers to choose from and at different stores. I’ve earned a total of $49 cash back using this app so far. All you have to do is unlock the offer by doing the simple task, verify the product to make sure it’s what is actually listed on the app and then snap a photo of the receipt. Usually they’re approved within an hour and once you reach $10, you can cash out to PayPal or Venmo instantly. If you’d rather convert your earnings into gift cards, you can certainly do that as well!

Favado Savings App

favado

Favado is a mobile savings app that helps shoppers save time and money by discovering the best deals in more than 65,000 grocery and drugstores nationwide. The Favado app uses real-time couponing data to provide access to exclusive matching deals (coupons plus in-store promotions) for ultimate savings. Other features include planning tools for weekly shopping trips and insider access to unlisted deals.

Checkout 51 Cash Back App

checkout 51

This app is similar to Ibotta, but has less offers to choose from. BUT, every Thursday morning, Checkout 51 updates with a new list of offers. All you have to do is pick the ones you like, purchase them at any store and upload a photo of your receipt through their mobile app or website. When your account reaches $20, they send you a check.

Saving Star App

SavingStar

Earn cash back on your groceries with exclusive freebies, coupons, and big savings on your favorite brands. Link deals to your store loyalty cards or submit a picture of your receipt to earn money in your SavingStar account. This one has a FREE Friday offer. How it works is you buy the specific product at the store, submit your receipt and get the full amount back. The minimum to cash out is $5 with this program which is very easily attainable. You can cash out to PayPal, bank deposit or even gift cards!

Snap by Groupon

snap

Groupon created Snap to help shoppers everywhere get a great deal at the grocery store. They partner directly with top brands to bring you cash-back offers on the products you need and love, from fruits and vegetables to beauty supplies and household cleaners.

Snap is like having grocery coupons on your mobile phone, but even better. Their offers work at any store, and you never have to hassle with clipping or redeeming paper coupons, although you should for maximum savings! 😉

Once you reach $20 in Snap, you can cash out and request your check, which is the only option of payment from Snap at the moment.

This money saving app is a little bit different though as offers have limited amount of redemption’s but in some cases are higher value, so they run out quick and will say “no longer available.” So make sure you check to see it’s available before you buy something just to get cash back, which you don’t really want to do anyways. Unnecessary spending is not really saving in the long run.

Do you use any of these apps? Would like to hear your opinions in the comments!
