Health Insurance is a Bunch of Crap!

I honestly don’t get the point of insurance. You pay this ridiculous monthly payment every month for shitty insurance with a $2k deductible which means they won’t pay shit until you accrue that amount in medical bills that don’t pertain to immunizations or regular check ups. I figured pregnancy would have a lot paid for it since most of this shit is required to have/do while pregnant. Nope, my 20 week ultrasound bill came and insurance only paid $92 out of $557! So now we’re stuck paying $464 dollars, oh boy! Now I understand why most people who can’t afford kids have no problems having kids. They’re on state insurance so everything is covered. May seem harsh but it’s true.

When I had my first ultrasound to see if I had ovarian cysts, which I am pretty positive I did even though the doctors said I was ovulating (at that time I was newly pregnant, we just didn’t know). But anyways, I had to pay $500+ for that ultrasound. I figured it was because it wasn’t a mandatory testing but one to ease my mind. If I would have known this at the time, I would have suffered through the pain because it eventually went away after getting pregnant. My husband wasn’t positive or didn’t know what insurance would cover so I went ahead and went with it. /Sigh.

We redid our insurance for this coming year, only it’s still the same, otherwise if we bump up to the next one with better coverage, we’d be paying $600+ a month in just health insurance for both of us. I don’t know how they think people can afford this shit, which is why we’re stuck with the crappy one again. This time though, we’re putting $2k in a medical spending account that way we don’t get taxed on it and we can just pull it out when needed to cover our $2k deductible. Hoping that our birthing bill isn’t insanely ridiculous, but I guess that’s the price you pay to have precious babies.

Thanks Obama, all you did was make politicians and insurance companies more rich. Asshole.

Just as a heads up, your situation is not everyone’s. My child has state due to a disability and we’ve got $40k in medical bills. We chose to have a second child. We make it all work. Our insurance and secondary insurance is terrible.
I wish you lots of luck and love on your journey- I love following you… I just want you to know that everyone on state (or with kids on state) don’t get some magical free ride. We pay out the tail end.

That is true, not everyone’s situation is the same but I SAS referring to mainly my siblings who have state health insurance. They don’t have to pay a thing. So that’s what I go by when I think state health.

In my opinion this bunch of insurance always overshadow our kind of lifelyhood manner to whom we hold an hillarious norm conduct. We are what we perceive and i personally agree to the aforementioned ahead.
